Amit grew up in New Delhi and completed a bachelors degree at Lehigh University and a masters degree from Columbia University, both in industrial engineering.? He then earned an MBA at University of Cambridge in England. He began his career at Tishcon and Colgate Palmolive in the US before moving back to India and pursuing his family?s business.
More than just joining the family business (his great great grandfather founded Dabur), he has dramatically changed and expanded their business. Currently Dabur’s Vice Chairman, Amit created and developed Dabur?s processed food business. A true entrepreneur, Amit is responsible for introducing processed fruit juices and other well-known cooking products aimed at simplifying the cooking process. He also founded and launched FoodUnion, a casual restaurant chain.
