This growth has attracted companies like Nokia, LG, Samsung to establish R&D and manufacturing bases in the country. The growth in telecom products demand has been breathtaking and India is adding 2 million mobile phone users every month. With telecom penetration of around 10%, this growth is expected to continue at least over the next decade. Some of the major Indian consumer electronics companies include BPL, Videocon, and Godrej.
